The Minnesota DFL released a video this morning entitled “Little time for Minnesotans“, which hits Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike McFadden for skipping another candidate forum with the other Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate. The video from the Minnesota DFL also pokes McFadden for skipping the candidate forum, but also for traveling to Washington D.C. to meet with Republican strategist Karl Rove at a fundraiser.
It’s telling that investment banker Mike McFadden will fly across the country for a Karl Rove fundraiser, but won’t drive to Chaska to talk with Minnesotans about the issues, said DFL Chairman Ken Martin. He says he wants to ‘lead on the conversation,’ but Minnesotans are still waiting for him to start talking to someone other than Washington insiders and big-money donors.
McFadden had been criticized by both Republicans and Democrats for claiming he wants to “lead the conversation” about the future of Minnesota, but continuing to not attend candidate forums with the other Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate.
