Gov. Mark Dayton today endorsed “Ready for Hillary” – the national organization focused on encouraging Hillary Clinton to run for president in 2016. Via a press released from Ready for Hillary, Governor Dayton said:
Everyday, Minnesotans from all over our state and from all walks of life tell me that they want to see Hillary Clinton run for President in 2016. Their enthusiastic support comes as no surprise. Hillary Clinton is the most qualified person to be the next President of the United States. She has been a superb U.S. Senator and Secretary of State; she is an outstanding role model for millions of Americans; and she would continue the important progress that President Obama has made. I am proud to join the national movement that Ready for Hillary is leading to show her that, if she runs, she will have a huge grassroots army behind her.
If Clinton does run for, she’ll have the support of prominent Minnesota Democrats. Last month, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (DFL-Minnesota), joined 15 other female U.S. Senators in encouraging Clinton to run for president.
