According to multiple sources, Governor Mark Dayton will announce Tina Flint Smith as his candidate for Lieutenant Governor tomorrow at a campaign rally at 10 AM. Smith currently serves as Gov. Dayton’s Chief of Staff. Smith was profiled last year in a must-read article by the Star Tribune.
This is a strong pick for Gov. Dayton, as the article noted Smith “also has impressive ties to the local business community, even among many Republicans who spent millions trying to defeat Dayton.”
