Michael Brodkorb has spent his professional career working in Minnesota politics and public relations. He has worked on numerous campaigns and served in various capacities at the Republican Party of Minnesota, including a Field Director, Research Director and Communications Director.
He got his start in politics serving on the ’96 campaign of U.S. Senator Rudy Boschwitz and the Coleman for Governor campaign in ’98. From ’99 until ’02, he worked for the Minnesota Senate Caucus in various capacities, including serving as a redistricting analyst.
In the most recent campaign cycles, he has done research for several campaigns including, Congressman Mark Kennedy’s 2006 campaign for the U.S. Senate, the MN GOP, the National Republican Campaign Committee and for Congresswoman Michele Bachmann’s first campaign for Congress. In 2008, Michael worked for Erik Paulsen’s successful congressional campaign.
Michael was the founder of the blog Minnesota Democrats Exposed and was as a co-host of a weekly conservative radio program on AM1280 – “The Patriot”. In June of 2009, he was elected Deputy Chair of the MN GOP and re-elected in April 2011, serving until October 2011.
Michael served as Communications Director for the Minnesota Senate Republican Majority Caucus and is currently a communications, social media, public affairs & research consultant. Michael also blogs for the Star Tribune. He is a lifelong resident of Minnesota and lives in Eagan.
